BAROTECH

Barotech has been serving its civilian and military customers for more than 20 years with a team of physicians and engineers specialized in manufacturing and operating the highest quality hyperbaric chambers.

Our product range includes multiplace, monoplace medical hyperbaric therapy chambers, diver and decompression chambers, medical equipment and gas systems, as well as the patented, disinfectant Antimic®.

All of our products are manufactured in accordance with European and American standards. At this point, it is one of the most important policies of our company to keep up with the standards that develop day by day and to progress by putting them above these standards with our engineering solutions we have developed.

With over 20 years of experience in marine and underwater medicine as well as numerous international articles and the founder of our company Barotech, specialist physician Mr. Savas Ilgezdi has worked in the establishment and management of many hyperbaric treatment clinics.

As the world’s need for hyperbaric and medical products grows, we will continue bringing the best products to grow our market share in this sector where human health is the number one priority.

What ıs HBOT?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment method applied by breathing 100% oxygen intermittently to a patient who is completely pressurized in a pressure chamber. HBOT is a modern and scientific treatment method supported by more than 6000 studies.

How ıs HBOT applıed?

Pressure chambers are cabins that allow patients to breathe oxygen under pressure by taking them inside. There are two types of pressure chambers, single and multi-person. In single-person pressure chambers, the pressure is usually increased by infusing pressurized oxygen, while in the multi-person pressure chamber, the pressure is increased by pressing the air inside. In single-person pressure rooms, patients directly breathe oxygen in the cabin, while in multi-person pressure rooms, patients breathe oxygen through a mask.

During HBOT, the majority of patients normally breathe 100% oxygen under a pressure of 2-2.5 times the atmospheric pressure we are in. Due to the possible side effects of oxygen, air breaks are given at regular intervals.

Thanks to the communication equipment of the pressure chambers, it is possible to continuously communicate with patients during HBOT. Some pressure rooms have equipment where patients can listen to music and watch television.

There is a control panel outside the pressure chamber. Treatment is managed from this panel. The operator using the pressure chamber and the health personnel who will accompany the patients inside are specially trained personnel.

Hyperbaric News

Using some form of oxygen therapy, researchers from Tel Aviv University and Shamir Medical Center reversed the accumulation of telomere length and cell aging, two indicators of aging.

Participants in the experiment were placed in pressurized chambers for 90 minutes a day, five days a week for three months, and given pure oxygen.

At the end of the experiment, it was seen that the length of the telomeres of the participants increased by an average of 20 percent, and the aging cells decreased by up to 37 percent.

Stating that telomere shortening is considered the “Holy Grail” of aging, Şai Efrati, one of the authors of the study, said: “This significant improvement in telomere length during and after hyperbaric oxygen therapy has shown to the scientific world that aging can be reversed at the cellular-biological level by targeting it.”
